Hey Jude!

As I’m sure you guessed, I’m a greyhound and retired racer straight from a track in sunny Florida.  I was pretty good if I say so myself.  Ran twenty-five races placing first in seven and coming in second a few times. Racing came to an abrupt end when I  was diagnosed with a hock fracture at the young age of 2.5 years.

Little did I know that with the diagnosis would come the search for my forever home.  An adoption organization in Virginia, called Blue Ridge Greyhound Adoption, rescued me.  I got checked out by the doctor. Got some shots (Yuck!) and my teeth cleaned.  I spent some time with a very nice foster family and then one day my forever family came and adopted me.  Oh what a happy day although it was a little scary. I didn’t know how to get in the back of the SUV.

That was back in May, 2011.  Seems like a long time ago.  I love my new family and home.  I even have five cats that I share my bed and food with.  Can you believe that!  I know. I know.  Give them an inch and they’ll take over.
